sudo chmod 444 /etc/apt/sources.list.orig
Change from jp.archive.ubuntu.com (University of Toyama?) To JAIST
sudo sed -i".back" -e "s,//jp.archive.ubuntu.com,//ftp.jaist.ac.jp/pub/Linux,g" /etc/apt/sources.list
After that looks like the index update of the APT repository with apt-get update to work properly.
