In there were problems with the SEP client and want to perform a complete uninstall (for example, before installing a new version) you can use the Symantec CleanWipe utility available for download at the link using the following credentials:
- Login ID: cleanwipeutility
- Password: CL3@nw!p3
Here are some guidelines for using the tools provided in the attached readme:
CleanWipe copy the folder on your computer. CleanWipe.exe run. Extract the files (by default are extracted in the Windows \ Temp) Confirm starting CleanWipe and any subsequent requests Select components to uninstall (Client and LiveUpdate) After removing the computer will restart Delete if not yet their directories Symantec% ProgramFiles% / Symantec CommonProgramFiles%% \ Symantec Shared AllUsersProfile%% \ Application Data \ Symantec Perform a search for other possible directory whose name contains the word Symantec and delete them if they still exist Delete the registry keys related to Symantec HKLM \ software \ Symantec HKLM \ software \ Wow6432Node \ Symantec HKCU \ software \ Symantec HKCU \ software \ Wow6432Node \ Symantec
