Posted: 07 Oct 2015 05:08 PM PDT I was on the Safari app of my iPhone 5, and received a popup warning of a security breach/hacker. Even upon pressing 'OK' it wouldn't go away and had a support number. I reset the phone (after turning off data/internet) and was finally able to close the window. Should I continue worrying, or was it probably a hoax? Posted: 07 Oct 2015 05:07 PM PDT Posted: 07 Oct 2015 04:07 PM PDT So I was told that this person can't log into netflix. They called netflix and they told him that he can't log in because he has a virus and got hacked and that they know his ip address. He asked me if he bought a new computer could that new computer get hacked into and I said idk. So my question is can he still get hacked and if so what can I do to help fix this problem and would he need to call isp for a new ip? The last update was on August 10, and it hasn't worked since then. Help? Posted: 06 Oct 2015 06:15 PM PDT So I have recently been searching for a new job and got an odd email from a company that I never applied to. It wasn't such a concern until ashley470@gmail.com started my interview and started asking me for bank account info. I expressed my concerns with giving important information to an unknown source. The conversation was immediately ended. Then today she apparently forgot I spoke with her previously because she asked am I ready for an interview. When I reminded her of our previous conversation she went offline. What bothers me is that the only way to report this obvious scam or phishing attempt to empty my bank account is a single button spam/phish. I feel yahoo is not taking this seriously and is leaving itsusers open for continued attacks. Is there another way I can get this resolved. Posted: 06 Oct 2015 05:55 PM PDT I have performed multiple things to hopefully get rid of it, done multiple virus/malware scans with 4 anti-malware programs (Avast, MalwareBytes, AdwCleaner and Norton), all of them have found the issue. However when the quarantine and delete the files after a reboot, the problem exists still. I have followed multiple anti-malware guides. There are no background processes or chrome toolbars/extensions that I can see causing it. So why is it still here. Any help?
